I picked up Kershaw Ti Talon at thrift store today for 10 bucks.

I knew I had something but didn't realize what until I got home and did a search.

It is the 1420 st. Perfect cond other than some light stains on the blade, no scratches and the blade is factory sharp I can tell it has never been sharpened at home.

Anyone know a good way of cleaning up those stains, if I can get those out it will be mint.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

Like this one?

Yes it should be ATS-34.

Congrats on the score.

I thought I had done well when I picked one up for $35 after they were discontinued! I think Flitz and elbow grease will take care of the discoloration. Good luck, and congratulations.

You know...Kershaw produced the same model with G10 Scales.

In 8 years of watching Flea-Bay I've seen ONE for auction. They are out there just hard to find.

Great score, I use mine as a dress up blade. Gave a Ti handled like yours to Dr. Lecter and kept a G-10 for myself. Great little knife.

You know, I do not think kershaw even realized how sought after that design is.........maybe just me, but if they did, I think they would do well by revisiting the design. I do not think I got over this one yet!:(

As for stain removal, regular toothpaste does wonderfull things in a few seconds!

Take care,

Yes Jenner, that be the one...

From reading Rearic's article on the "southern comfort" I got the feeling that Kershaw did not design this knife particularly for Pikal style grip.. but it just doesn't feel right holding it any other way..

does anyone know the story on what led to this strange design if not to make a folding pikal blade?
