I bought my very first Benchmade folder ever at the CKG today and I think it is one of my prettiest knives so far. Got a lot of stuff from down there, but this one was an absolute steal.

$50 for an 850 definitely classifies as a steal. Nice score. One of the nicest knives BM ever made IMO.

CKG

http://www.ckg.org/

Canadian Knifemaker's Guild show held in Toronto over the weekend.

The BM850 reminds me of the Boguszewski Spike, another Benchmade knife, from years ago. A quite pointy liner lock.

Did you buy anything else there?

I like that description of the "stay fresh" pouch :D

I think I got so excited and I quoted myself rather than editing my post. :D
Gravitator is the other knife that I really like.

AJ, You got a smoking deal there! My local brick And mortar store has
2, both going for About $160. each. I've handled them and they are light And smooth as silk. Very "purty" too.The Owner of the shop said he was
thinking About Raising the price on them becuz they are collectible.
Of course they've been there forever and that makes no sense to me?? I think I will offer him $75 for one and see if he takes it.:D :D

They only Reason I've never bitten on this one WAS the lack of a clip.

The clip threw me off as well, but possibly my prettiest knife yet.
I can't believe benchmade came up with this. I'm just gonna tell people it's an old spyderco model collaboration with benchmade :D

I'm sorry bro I can't distinguish benchmade models yet. There were quite a few bought by one person and he left three on the table. The 850s and two crawford designed ones. i hope that helps take care

Congratulations on your new knife. Not very fond of their folders, but I do admit BM makes quality knives too. Just not my style, sorry :(
I only have one BM, and it's a balisong.

No problem. It's one of my favorite little knives so I'm just always curious what people see them going for at shows if they're available.

Sent you a PM re: Benchmade models also.

No worries My friend we all have very different tastes. I have to say though a balisong is a must buy from benchmade.
