My Gunmetal Chinese Lum is waiting for me at www.beckscutlery.com . Patsy has been holding it for me and tomorrow I was suppose to go get it, but it is snowing like crazy here in Fayetteville, NC. So no trip to Beck's tomorrow. Boohoo I've been waiting for 3 weeks. I WANT MY LUM!!! Maybe next week.

Well for some reason I can't repost to this thread. Any snow here is a city stopper. I usually do okay driving, its the people sliding past stop signs that worry me.
I should have it this thursday. I'll let ya know.

read the post topic again sharp, and will you put pics up when it comes in?
One little side note- how can it be stuck when there is only like an inch or two? It would take several feet to stop me from getting it if it was mine(but then I am an Indiana boy and we get plenty enough snow every winter).

Put it into four wheel drive mode and go pick it up!
Or, should I come over and pick you up and we'll go together?

Blades,
I feel your pain . I don't mean to rub it in but my blue Chinese Folder was the only knife I took away on holidays. Who needs anything else .
We could actually do with some snow here or at least some rain right now. There are over 100 fires burning throughout the state, mostly out of control, with no sign of rain for at least another week. I came home from my holiday to find burnt leaves and bark in the yard even although I'm about 40 km from the nearest fire. Incredibly there was snow on the mountains in Victoria (further south) a couple of days ago but the change didn't make it this far north.

Clay...
Those fires are terrible, the frightening thing is that many were set on purpose. (bastids)
Wish you had some of this liquid sunshine we have been getting lately. About 25 miles from here, was the only place in the continental USA bombed by the Japanese in WW2. They were trying to start some forest fires.... They went out. ><g>
KC... My blue Lum shipped last Thursday.

Chinook,
You're right, the authorities reckon that at least half the fires are the work of arsonists. So far 22 people have been arrested of whom 14 are juveniles. That's cold comfort for the 150 or so families who have lost their homes. At least there's not been any loss of life so far, but the longer the crisis lasts the more chance that one of the firefighters will be seriously injured or worse. The last time we had fires like these was '94, but I think these are worse with no relief in sight.

I lived most of my life in southern California. Every year was a fire season. There should have been an open season on those crazy or careless nuts.
They should forfeit everything they own including any organ they have two of, lungs, kidneys, eyes, etc.(except 'nads which they have none) They could be auctioned off on ebay to help pay for some of the suffering and destruction they caused.
I would suffer a snake in my bed before an arsonist in my midst.

Clay...you're back....The fire's been pretty bad....I live in the city and could actually smell the smoke a few days ago as there are fires both to the North and South. They're making those ******* arsonists meet the victims, pay compensation and particpate in the cleaning up. i personally think they should be whipped and sterilised so as to not contribute to the gene pool....

Hope you get it soon. The only thing about ordering knives from the net is the waiting, it takes so long
