My fellow Spydernuts,
This just came across my mind.. How would an Endura look like with White colored FRN handles? I've seen the Jess Horn knife in White Micarta which was produced in a limited quantity for AG Russell.. Very classy knife! Or maybe a white ladybug.. Or Lady White Bug.. *hee-hee!* Care to state your input on this? Your feedback is highly appreciated!

That sounds like a good idea, I think white frn would be a good seller.

Maybe red, blue, black, white, purple, green, yellow, that would be cool.

Didn't they already do a run of white FRN Rescues? I thought that they bombed because the white FRN dirtied up very quickly and stayed "soiled" looking.

White Rescues? Thought they were yellow ones... Anyway, how many of such Spydies were made senor Carlos?

I found this:

quote:
Thanx, John. Actually we maded about 500 white Rescues for the Candian Fire Depts (their request). It was a one shot deal.

Maybe the "soiled" appearance is an apocryphal story. Anyone have any real world experience with white FRN?

Great idea Samo!
I remember when the white micarta Jess Horns were on the market, as Samo mentioned, from A.G. Russel. I kick myself now for not buying one then. I think they were running around $70 someting. *Sigh*
I would be most interested in knives like the Cricket, Dragonfly, Calypso Jr., and maybe even the Chinese Folder by Bob Lum in the White Micarta. Those would be some neat collector's items.

Isn't the "World" knife available in white FRN?

The World knife has an aluminium handle. I think white FRN would look kinda cheap. I would really like the best sellers like delica/endura to be available in tan/khaki and olive drab. They would match and be hidden in clothing that way.

The white FRN does indeed dirty up rather quickly. I bought one for show and one for go. I use it for kayaking and rafting.

Well, Tan and OD are rugged colors.. White, on the other hand, has got class! Its just a matter of how good you look after your knives IMHO...

Hey, Spydernut, if you still want one of those white Jess Horns, I was just at A.G. Russell today and they still had one in the display case! Picked up a Meercat for my wife while we were there. She played with it for a bit, then decided that it was too cute NOT to buy it! I love my wife

I bought one of the white Jess Horns from AGRussell. It is by far the best gentleman's folder in my collection. Real purdy, totally useable, and the most sheeple friendly of the lot. Folks that are offended by the Viele, SS Delica and WH evolution have no problem at all with the white micarta.
White micarta is beautiful. White FRN proved to be as Carlos said.
"Not too beautiful" once dirty.

Ummm, that "soiled" look actually adds character to your knife if it is made with a white FRN handle.. Can't agree more with the white micarta.. Anyway, the color choices are limitless with the FRN..
