I have been hunting up info about this over at bladeforums and the darrel from bodycote does it. He said he did two millies, one for him the other for Sal. I want t know what Sal thinks of the stuff. Ilove the look of the black millie. So Sal, do you like your black military and what can you say about the coating. I am considering it for the knife I am making and also for my military.

The coating is very interesting. Especially being a low temp process.

We did a corrosion test on a Spydercard with a boron carbide coating as compared with one that had no coating. There was a significant difference in the ability of the steel to resist corrosion with the Boron carbide coating.

We will more than likely be using the coating in the future, just haven't decided on what yet.

We've been working with Darrell Lewis for many years (the original titanium carbo-nitride coatings were done on Spydercos). He's a good man.

I have decided to go ahead and send in my spydercard. I will probably******it out by the end of the week and will hopefull have it back by the end of the month. What Sal said is encouraging and since a spydercard is what he used I might as well send mine in. Thanx for the info sal. I hope to see the coating on some of the more heavy use use as well as the endura/delica series. The coating would be fairly inexpensive if done on mass scale like that. It may also be interesting to have it done on some of the kitchen knives.
