I would like some opinons as to which of the two knives would be best for everyday carry, as I really love my S/S serrated dragonfly, but am seriously considering buying an Almite Navigator P/E. In general, how does the S/S dragonfly compare to the Navigator Almite in regards to overall strength and cutting power, possible use for self-defense, plus which one would be considered less menacing(i am a university student). Thanks.

You have a sure winner with the SS Dragonfly, bro. Yeah, the Almite Navigator is neat too, but the overall design of the Dragonfly is hard to beat. On the other hand, you will probably end up getting a Navigator to expand your Spyderco collection anyway, so you might as well get one now.

Hey, you can't go wrong with a Spyderco!

Good Luck!

BTW, if you ever see a Carbon Fiber Dragonfly, JUMP on it!! I wish I had.....

I have both, but have never used the dragonfly because it is engraved. The Navigator is my everyday carry. The finger grooves fit my hand perfectly, outstanding edge and cutting ability. The navigator feels lighter to me than the ss dragonfly plus the clip allows the navigator to ride lower in the pocket than the dragonfly.
However, as far as self-defense I think the blade shape of the dragon fly would be better for that.
