It is about time for a new addition to my small Spyderco collection. I currently own an Endura, and a Civilian. I have narrowed it down to three: Military, Civilian (with carbon fiber grips), or a G-10 serrated police. Does anyone have an opinion?

Chris2995,
Welcome to the Spyderco Forum!
That's a tough one, we need more info. Do you hunt, fish, hike, rock climb? That could help decide, I own all three of the "ones listed" I like my Police, it's S/S S/E. Will it be a second knife as back-up?
I have to go pick up my New Blue Lum Chinese Folder P/E (YEAH!!!) I would add that to your list!
More info. please!

I hunt and fish a lot. I like to have knives that I can use for hunting and fishing but I also like to carry one with me all day long. Typically I have been carrying both my Endura and Civilian an equal amount but only one at a time. Thank you for all of your help.

dunno about a G-10 police, i loved my SS version and i hear the G-10 one is better... i personally dislike the military (mine broke the other day) too fragile and its got a pants lock (IMHO) if i were you i'd go with the civilian, i have a plain edged CF civilian, never had any problems with it, it is one beauty of a knife.
if u wait the G-10 civilian is coming out this year with the new VG-10 blade.
that would be pretty much the perfect knife for me, if it had a military sized hole i'm pretty sure god himself would carry one

I would go with the G-10 Police.
Two reasons, it's being phased out this year (so you might not be able to get one later), and it'll make a great fish filleter.

Chris,
You might want to check out the Starmates as they are gonna be hard to get soon. I have handled one a few times, and it feels good in the hand. I know it looks a little bit different than most 'traditional' knife designs, but it is a sweet design concept. Hardly weighs anything either. [4.25 oz.] That's not bad for a knife that has a overall length of 8 11/16th!
But, that just my opinion. Good Luck!

I would go with the plolice because I think the knife is very well built and it is a tried design.
In the land of knives, Spyderco is king.

Dude,
If you are in for a hard-used knife, go for the military. Its robust and tough enough to take some punishing chores. Good blade material, great ergonomics and reliable! Think the civilian is highly unsuitable for utility usage..
