At the moment, I don't own either model you're asking about (wish I did). However, I do own a TAK, and it's an excellent knife. Very high quality for the price. Durable and sharp as the devil. Comfortable handle, too.

The RC-4 is just about perfect, for a mid-size field knife. :)

Zenheretic has a thread with pics of the death of a small tree in his backyard with a RAT 7 . I have had the Rat 3 in D2 and the TAK in D2 both were very good knives . MG2

Just got my RC-3 about a week ago. Have only carried it a couple times, but it is a very nice knife. I love the micarta handles and the edge geometry is awesome. The sheath is nice, although I'm still going to make a leather sheath for it as I prefer that style of sheath. Overall, excellent small fixed blade.
