Think I will TRY to rebuild this old beat up knife. I know it's not worth much, but it's special to me. It was my Father-in-law's. I didn't know he had this one, my Mother-in-law dug it up not too long ago and gave it to me. (He has passed away)
As you can see the blade is gone(when closed,tip rides up), I think the steel is 420?? Scales are still nice (wood), frame is one piece (soft stainless).
I don't suppose anyone knows how old it is(it may not be old, just "rode hard and put away wet")
My main concern is the LOCK, never worked on a lockback. Well, most of the work is already done, I SHOULD just scribe the outline.:D
I plan to use 3/32" D-2 for the blade. Will keep you posted.
