Yep, its finally came home to papa: My SE LTW Calypso Jr. <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

I LUV THIS KNIFE! Oh my gosh is it a sweet design!

I just got it a little while ago, but I have already managed to cut myself twice with it. [I think its stopped bleeding...]

Sal, you have designed a dream machine<img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Way to go!

I'm thinking about getting one in PE and micarta. The SE is sweet, but it needs a brother. <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

Dear Reader, if you don't have one of these in your Spydie collection GET one! You won't regret it.

I just got a LWT Calypso Jr PE a few days ago. I actually bought it 'cause I read about the hard core following this knife had. So I decided to see for myself. It was love at first sight! This one's a keeper (actually all Spydies are) and is now my new EDC. I would like to thank everyone here at the forum that talked me into buying the Calypso Jr (like you really had to twist my arm).

congradulations, great knife, i take it the SE is every bit as sharp from the box as the PE? hehe its the first knife i've ever had which was sharp enough to shave with straight from the box

SpyderNut, Welcome the the &quot;Calypso Clan&quot;!! You now
own one of Sal's best designs. If you get a fever blame it
on the Calypso bug .......you'll want more very soon.

Beware of the Large Calypso bug tho. If you ever
see or hold one of them you'll be deranged until you buy one!!

Wellll, OK, I just ordered mine. You folks are sooo persuasive, and it does not appear in the 2002 Catalog received yesterday. Thanks Joyce and Spyderco. I'm just becoming compulsive.

Like Tightwad says, once you get the Calypso Jnr bug, your bound to get the Large Calypso bug, this is a damn fine knife.

Anyone got any idea why the Calypso Jnr is being discontinued ?? <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> ??
I'm not a fan of FRN but if anyone asks me what would be a good quality, small, cheep knife I'd have no hesitation to recomend the Calypso Jnr.

I love my PE Calypso Jr. too! Since I use my knife a lot for cutting food, the blade is so much handier than my serrated delica. And it cuts through cardboard like a hot knife through butter.

Still, I have my eye on a native... and maybe a serrated cricket...

Hmmm - seems I've been coming to this site too often!

Whoa! UPS Tracking just reported my PE Calypso Jr. FRN was delivered to my house. But I'm at work. Bummer! Well, we'll be together soon. I'll let you know Sal. I'm sure I'll be pleased. After all it is a Spydie. Thinking, thinking, go home early, go home early. Where's the boss.

This is one of the threads that finally convinced me to buy the Calypso Jr. LWT.

SpyderNut is to blame. <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

J/K, there was a long thread that also recommended this knife. I really like the design as well, the handle is VERY comfortable.

Hello All,

The Calypso is one of my favorite knives. I have always felt that the Calypso Jr. is/was the evolution of the delica. It's about the same size, has an upgraded steel, and better ergonomics. I also like the fish-scale pattern of the handle and the detent on the lock.

PS. the Delica was my first Spyderco, and it will always have a special place in my collection.

Kahz, Spydernut, and especially Sal,

What more can I say than everybody else has. The Calypso Jr. is a really super little knife design. I sure like mine. Thanks Sal. Kahz of course got all the attention on that other thread. Hmmm. Guess we all have that virus. The Spydie Flu?
