Which one is better, FRN or G-10?
In the land of knives, Spyderco is king.
They're not even close.
IMHO G-10 is the finest handle material there is. It feals (and is) hard wearing, is grippy, and has some of the heft of a solid SS handle (especially if it has a SS liner or two).
FRN is light, hard wearing, but to me feals cheep.
Go G-10, Go G-10, Go G-10 ....
Sorry, I just had a Jery Springer moment there

FRN talk's the 'talk'....but G-10 walk's the 'walk'!

G-10 hands down!
The G-10 material is light and strong with an exceptional grip.
It may not be as pretty as Carbon Fiber or Micarta, but it is just plain functional.
The real downside to this wonderful material, is it's expensive.
We can't all be perfect.
One way or the other, you pay for your tools!

Its kinda like comparing cars:
*Pontiac-[FRN]
*BMW-[G-10]
Get the drift? Yes, the Pontiac will get you there just as the BMW will, but you get what you pay for. [BTW, isn't that somebody's by-line?? haha] I prefer FRN-handled knives for my EDC's so that I don't have to worry as much if I accidently drop/bang/ding it in everyday use. G-10 is a nice material for knife handles and although it probably won't win any beauty
contests, it sure makes up the difference in its performance. So, there it is in a nutshell......
