A bit of a grey area there Tanto.
Much bigger knives are legal to carry here in the UK as long as you have a good reason, who decides if the reason is good ???
It used to be the case that any folder under 3.5" was legal whether you had a good reason or not. But reciently if the knife has a lock, then you need a good reason.
Luckily I have a good reason, as I sometimes have to trim bushes at work
Don't forget though, an awful lot depends on your the situation where it is identified you have a knife, and your reaction to any police officers that may be present.
If you are fighting in the street (I don't for one momment think you would )and then are snotty to the police, even having a Ladybug in your posession will go badly for you.
Luckily the police are fairly laid back around here, and being polite to them (despite what you may be fealing at the time) will always help in the long run.
I do think however that it would take a fairly up-tight copper to think of the Cricket as an offensive weapon, but I have known a couple that would.

thanks for the replys,i am not to concerned with the working enviroment as your not going to spook to many people on a site and my coworkers think im a knife nut any way.its at weekends that trouble me,i always carry a leatherman side clip but find it great for every thing except cutting and with my new found love of my first spyderco was hopeing to back up the l/man with my delica, but could do without any undue hassles
cheers
Hi Tanto.
Don't be too put off, I gave you the worse case scenario, it's worth knowing.
On the other hand, I have been carrying Delica sized knives and bigger for many years and have never had a problem. Perhaps it's because I'm softly spoken and look inoffensive
