Hey All, It's that time again ... Time to Do Battle :D :p  !!! Yeah, I'll be going to Colorado Springs, CO tomorrow morning to a BMX Race ... WOOO HOOO!!! I'm a bit nervous for this race??? Believe it's been a little over a year since I've competed  !!! After the change in work schedule and settling into the new routine, I kinda had to lay off of racing for while. Not to mention, I needed a little break and time to let some injuries heal up  .
Now, It's Time To Let It RIP and get right smack into the Heat Of Battle. As Always In The Past ... I Never Forget, You'll All Be Coming With Me To Face Off Against The Competition, Look Em Square In The Eye and Just Say "BRING IT"!!! Yep, We'll Do The Very Best We Can and Give It All We Got!!! Thanks For Listening and For Always Being There ;) . Take Good Care and Be Safe Always. OK BROS AND SISTERS ... LET'S HAVE AT IT :p !!!
God Bless All ;)

Hey All, Let me first Thank You for all the Kind Words, Support, and Encouragement ... Thank You All Very Much ;) .
Well, Heartbeark and Disappointment this time around :( . I basically had My "Butt" handed to me at this race. They had me grouped into a class with a bunch of younger riders and one of the fastest females I've ever seen ....Sheeeeesh  :p!!!
It was a whole new track for me (I've never raced this track), a bit different rules than I'm used to, a different starting gate cadence, a bit different of an environment for me ... I didn't know a single person there, but made some new friends. Battling a bit of a cold, then the wind was blowing and the dust kicked in the allergies. Went downhill from there  . No Excuses ... these guys and gal were just faster than I was this time!!!
I have to admit after not racing in a little over a year, I did better than I actually thought I was going to. Just getting back onto the track was a Victory in itself. I have some work ahead of me. My gates were super strong, fast, and I was able to hang with the pack throughout the races. I felt my legs just "WASTED" once that lactid acid kicked in ... I was pretty much done. I was even leading in one of the races and just ran outta gas and the legs just quit  . AT LEAST I DIDN'T CRASH THIS TIME :D !!!
It was a learning experience and now I know where to strengthen my weaknesses and know what I need to work on ;) . It'll be a different story next time around and they may see a whole different rider ... at least they know I Didn't Give Up The Sport I Love So Much.
Again, Thanks For The Support and So Sorry to Disappoint ... We'll Definately Do Better Next Time Around. Hey, this is just the first race of many to come :p .
Take Good Care All and Be Safe Always.
God Bless All :)

Way to go Raven, you are still head and shoulders above...........me, I am telling you, seeing an 250 pound guy fly over the handlebars and over the track would be enough to show you what you are dealing with on this end.............non BMXer!:D Still proud of you. Keep going, you will rise above and beyond the competition! Take care and God Bless!;)
wow sounds pretty competitive!
very interesting!
I've seen a bike race in NY on youtube and that looked C-R-A-Z-Y!

Hey Raven. A disappointment would have been not trying at all. Be proud. Keep your head up. You'll do better next time!

Hey man, at least you're out there competing! AND against a younger crowd too! Hats off to you my man! Getting your ass handed to you every now and then is not a bad thing as it just fuels the fire to train harder for better results!!
Keep it up!
