I ordered a Boker Subcom F Desert last night, and I'm really excited to get it. It's my first non-spyderco since my benchmade skirmish a few years back, and I'm ready to see how this cool little knife performs.

Any other suggestions on some Los Banos knives? I really like the way every one of his knives has very unique shape/ergonomics.
If I like this enough, I guess I may buy a trance and a lava :D.

Just curious Chad, did you get the edge concept on your DIREKT from a thread on here? I think I remember someone talking about having the SE at the front of the blade, and I'm glad you're trying it out.

The Lava, Trance, and MPT are my favorite CLB designs. I think by now just about everyone here knows I really like the Lava. I don't do videos with knives I don't like:D. Speaking of videos, I sent Chad one I did with the MPT, so that may turn up on some forum or other sometime. That video is Chad's to use as he sees fit;).

As per your question, yes. I got the concept from me!!! :p You can search for the thread...think it took place about 2 years ago...however:

The SE on my latest release was to be place further back. I call it my MidWay Edge...Hope you enjoy the DSF, and keep us posted!

You're going to love the subcom!

And Daywalker keep churning out those awesome designs!

Have you considered a subcom with high end materials like s30v, kind of like what they did with the leek?

That would be awesome!

This little guy can be waved open without any modifications by the way. I can do it about 70% of the time and I think 100% with a bit more practice. The thumb stud is wider than the liner and with practice, can be caught on the liner of yo' pockets. Check it out... I'm gonna try to post a video eventually.
