Hi,

I am brand new to the forum. I am sure this has been asked 1000 times, but I am looking for recommendations for a Spyderco for MBC carry. I train in MBC and own both a Delica and Endura, but was wondering if there are better choices out there. I am sold on composite handles, but open to everything else.

Thanks

Dear Hal:

Thanks for the question and welcome to the forum.

Since you already own an Endura and Delica, I'd recommend staying with them and investing in a matching trainer. Since you already train in MBC, your next step should be to get your training tool to match your carry weapon.

In making your choice between the two, check out your local laws regarding blade length and make sure you are legal. Also, if you travel, check out the laws in the areas you frequently visit and make sure you're legal there too.

Finally, if you've been carrying/using your Endura and/or Delica for a while, make sure the locks and edges are in good shape before you rely on them for defensive purposes.

I hope this answers your questions. If you are still intent on buying a new knife for MBC carry, check out the online catalog and see if there's anything that looks good to you. If so, you can then post and get specific comments on that design.

Stay safe,
