**Moaning in pain**

After reading several posts on this interestingly unique knife, I fear that I have succumbed to yet another highly contagious virus: "Lum Got-a-hav-it-now Syndrome". I have heard that the ONLY cure is to obtain one of this knives. So I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that is selling them for a reasonable price. The lowest I've seen them go, is for $104.00. I've even looked at JohnFJensen's web page, but since the C65 isn't 'discontinued' yet, he didn't have any. One more thing, should I get the C65 in PE or SpyderEdge? I am a SE guy by choice, but the PE looks nice with its straight lines.....What do you think?

Can any kind soul help me in my quest for peace? I appreciate any help anyone might offer!

SpyderNut,

I share your pain, it's almost unbearable. I know the book will cover some of the symptoms, but I am sure it won't cure the disease.

4 out of 5 doctors consider the SpyderBite the most contagious disease of them all...

SpyderNut,

I got my G/B Lum Chinese from Newgraham for 109.00 The blues are only availible in P/E but apparantly more rare. I hope this doesn't add to an already difficult decision!
BTW... Do you have "Clays Syndrome"... It's the sudden urge to go buy a Lum Chinese folder especially when you can't afford it?

Kahz,

I forgot about 'THE BOOK'! Oh noooo. Now I will have to get both......
You're right, though. I believe that the book will bring a season of peace, but like any asprin it will eventually wear off.
How could I have overlooked this? Oh man.

Hoosierdaddy,
Ah, your plumb right about it being "Clay's Syndrome" on this one! I have choked on the price of this knife for a while and I finally concluded that it won't get any cheaper! So, *closing eyes* there goes my money. It will be worth it.....

"When in doubt, get it in Imperial Jade Green."

SpyderNut,

I know the blue is limited but, my personal preference is green and in PE (the lines of this knife are so smooth, I want to keep it that way, no teeth). I am a green lover person, so I am not even considering the blue at the moment. "Clay's Syndrome"? LMAO! Good name for that particular illness.

Aye indeed, Kahz.

I have always thought that the Imperial Jade Green was a unique color for the Lum. I dunno. Maybe the 'right' thing to do would be to get one in both blue AND green. I must admit that it was the green color that first attracted me to the Folder. As far as going PE, you have confirmed my own conclusion: The Lum in a straight, smooth blade edge would be a lovely addition to the Jade Green handle.... Ohhh, I can feel it now.....

Time will tell!

Folks,

My feeling is that the flat ground VG-10 blade DESERVES to be a plain edge. Don't you think? I mean, there are some Spydies that just cry to have teeth, but to me anyway...the Lum Chinese is not one of them.

Enjoy that beauty when you finally buy it.
