Can a hollow grind be grinded into a flat grind? I am thinking about sending in my Rookie and would like to have a flat grind on it.

Don't want to answer for Mr. Glesser, but believe that it can't be done.

It would remove most of the blade. Spyderco would never do it.

Thanx Shootist and Marauder. It's good to know that there are others here that know enough about knives to offer realistic adice to sincere questions. appreciate.

Rookie, Sooner or later every knifenut wants a knife
made just for him. I know I did. Outside of Buck knives
no manufacture is geared to do this with good reason. Even
the Buck custom offering is made up of a mix of ready made
stock to the customer order.
So consider what I did to scratch that itch for "MY" knife.
Save up and have a custom maker build one just for you.
There really is nothing quite like the feeling you get using it.
