Senor Montejano:

You're a true artist. I"m always amazed with your detailed workmanship.

I love Morgin's and Laguioles as the french have some exquisted refined knive designs.

I will get me one of those custom morgins someday when i got the money.

Folks:
Antonio was kind enough as to send me pics of some of his work and let me tell you what you have seen here is only scratching the surface. Some of you might know that I was a custom maker and have seen my pics here. I think I am qualified to say that this man's work is on par with the best of the best. I am talking Buster Warenski quality work or better. No smoke, Antonio is that good! I would post them but not without his concent.

Kind regards

Shike

As per Antonio this blade he made out of 440c and completely hand engraved, the handle is elephant ivory and was acid etched. I will load a few more as soon as I can. It gets better!

Hi!

Piet and Shawn: It has been my pleasure to post these pics of Antonio's work.
He is a good guy and a fantastic artist. I have been having some raport with him. For some reason I don't know if the fact that my dad was also a Spaniard had something to do with it, but it's like having found a lost relative:)

I will post some more in the near future. Some of the other pieces are just incredible. And amazingly enough he is hardly recognized in his own country:confused::rolleyes:
Hope that maybe thru some exposure we can change that.

Friend Miguel ( Shike ), please, you would be able to verify that the translation is acceptable and if you desire it you can translate it better ?; Many friendly thanks for your words of friendship.

Thanks to all of the friends of the forum for his extra words toward my work.
I thank ( Shike ) the interest that he has shown for my works in cutlery to the friend Michael. I wish to say that I had some years of intense activity cutler and the fact that I made pieces that I feel very proud of.
He was inspired on books of art, architectural and these- books books he got ideas that next I was showing in my works; He made designs that they carried several days to me and my mind was so active that almost he wished to sleep. I got to have so beautiful ideas, but so disturbed on designs, that myself comprised that it was not feasible to take them to good term and to accomplish them. But he can get to accomplish some of my ideas and I feel very proud of some of my pieces, because a lot of work and effort take along my part.
I had to be careful in that hectic activity of creativity, that got to become an obsession and compulsion, that the fact that only he live for the cutlery did .
Each piece saw her in my mind and he was able to make notes in the knife's design, in order that each piece adjust to perfection; In definite era a costly work.

The friends and known people have seen some designs of my pieces themselves; These people tell me that they remember my designs to Leonardo da Vinci designs give . I in those cases laughed and told my friends, that Leonardo has been the granddest temper of the history and my only designs were modest.

But a year ago I stopped making knives of definite manner and I focus in the engraving to strong water technique inherited of my father and the fact that I take in blood. My technique is traditional of the century XIX and as of the present moment I feel proud of my engravings.

Antonio

Thanks to all of the friends of the forum for their kind words toward my work.
I thank ( Shike ) for the interest that he has shown in my cutlery work. I wish to say that I had some years of intense activity as a cutler and the fact is that I made pieces that I feel very proud of.
I was inspired by art books, architectural and others. From these books I got ideas that I would execute in my work. I made designs that took me several days. My mind was so active that I almost couldn't sleep. I had some really beautiful ideas, but I was so disturbed by the complicated designs that I realized that it was not feasible to take to the work bench and accomplish them. But I did get to complete some of my ideas and I feel very proud of some of my pieces, because they took a lot of work and effort on my part.
I had to be careful in that hectic activity of creativity, because it became an obsession and compulsion, as I was living for just cutlery work.
Each piece I saw in my mind and then was able to make notes in the knife's design, in order to adjust each piece to perfection, definitely a very costly area of my work.

The friends and people that have seen some my designs have told me that they remind them of Leonardo da Vinci designs, I, in those cases laughed and replied that Leonardo has been the greatest genius in history and that my designs were modest.
