Question of strength

A friend and I were remarking on how the lock on the endura is deceptively strong when you look at the overall package. I had mentioned that it had been tested as quite strong at Spyderco which brought up the thought. What of lateral forces? How much stronger are the lined versions to horizontal stress? Has this ever been tested? Not that this would ever be a problem, just a curiousity.

We haven't done too much gtesting on lateral forces unless something demonstrates that there might be a problem. If a problem exists, then we break and refine until the problem is solved.
