Just thought I'd do the intro thing
I joined this forum to find out more about the Spyderco mystique
I am a retired U. S. Army Medic, since '88
I have been collecting knives since a friend gave me a "small cut out Spyderco knife," that I only recently (yesterday) learned was a "Q35" model. I'm not even sure how long I've had the little knife, and I have carried it, off and on, ever since. Somewhere along the road, the little wire clip was lost, which is what brought me to this forum, trying to locate one, which is not available from the "normal" course of things.
I am not a "traditional" knife collector, I guess, I would see a knife/tool that would serve my purpose, at the time, then if another came along, that would serve a different purpose, or even the same purpose, then it would take the other one's place, etc, till now, on a guess, I've accumulated probably +/- 150 knives and single purpose or multipurpose folding tools. I didn't plan on being a "knife collector" it just turned out that way. By collecting them the way I have, I have many brands, and many price ranges, from gifts, to "oh, I like that there knife, how much would you take for it," To the point now, that it seems like I will go into withdrawals if there isn't one in the mail or picked up at the flea market, or ?????????????????????????????????
