Question for Sal, Joyce & rest

On the new Salsa, can a regular Spyderco clip be mounted, since it has what appears to be the barrel screw mount? I don't like the flimsy Q style clip. That was the main reason I sold our Q model, actually the only reason. I know that sounds silly, but on the Q it would fall off in my pocket, and the clip would be lost. It may also sound silly, seeing how the knife is so light, but I prefer a clip, especially to clip on my LBEs at work. Thanks to all replies! RKBA!

Hi Alan2112,

The Salsa doesn't appear have the indent area around the screw necessary to fit a Delica style clip -- the indent is what keeps the clip from rotating.

Another question. Does the Meercat's clip attach securely with screws? From the photos I've seen it looks like it does, if so I could go with that.

Alan - The Meerkat clip is very sturdy, it has 3 screws securing it to the knife. The metal used is strong. rr
