I think there is a problem with the barrel bolts on the native.I lost my clip a few weeks ago and Mike sent me a new one. When I Tried TO Put IT On The Bolt Was TO Short TO GO Through THE Handle. So I called him about it and left a measage.Got the new one in the mail today and it is still to short.I will give him another call. They may have gotten in a bad batch.

Got in touch with Mike today. He said they had some mixed up and he would look into it himself and send me the right one.

When I got my Native, the barrel bolt came loose, but I was able to tighten it with two nickels, but your problem sounds different than the problem I had with mine.

Yes it is differant. When mine came loose I lost the clip and 1/2 the bolt so I needed both. Thanks for the nickel idea I have been trying to think of a way to get the bolt real tight screw drivers don't seem to work well.Does anyone know of a tool that is made for them?

There is a type of screwdriver that has a rounded head and is used mostly for guns and some rifle scopes, I don't know if there is a wide variety of sizes, but you could check at any sporting goods shop that deals mainly with firearms. Another tool is the Leupold Scopesmithing tool, it has a multitude of heads from torx to flathead to phillips.
I haven't found one yet, but I will.

J Smith,

I also used a coin to change the Native SS clip to the other side. Haven't had a problem with it since I got it. If you worry about "harming" the steel with this method, put some masking tape or plain transparent tape on the coin to screw the clip on tight.

Hope this helps.
