I just remembered this awesome little knife and it isn't in the 2002 catalog, is it slated but not for sure in 2002? So they didn't put it in?
And in other news,if you want a Blue 50/50 Salsa for 49.99 + shipping go here :

We've decided to call the "World" knife, the "Pride". We had originally pegged that name for another model, but it doesn't look like that "other" model will materialize. At least not in the near future.
The model will be shipping in the Spring. We'll have samples at the SHOT Show.
The "Pride" is a "Navigator" pattern, but it is a not locking folder. Our first one. The scales are aluminum and there is a flag inlayed into the scale. We're planning flags for about 40 or so countries.
The 2" blade model is politically friendly, but still "Big" enough to handle large knife chores.
It is also priced for the mid range market. I imagine there are some that will try to collect different countries.

What is the SHOT Show ?
Also, when do you think the PE and SE Harpies in VG-10 will ship?
Also Is it true that Spyderco doesn't switch blades? Like I wouldn't be able to send in a Harpy, Merlin and Endura and get tehm upgraded to VG-10 would I?
I have a little reservation about the pride.
First I think that it is great that Spyderco are producing this knife, a 100% legal knife for most countries, including the UK. Could be a lot of sales for that fact alone without adding in the fact that some collectors might go Pokomon over them and feal they "just got to collect them all".
On the other hand I am very weary of slipjoint knives since discovering good quality locking folders about 8 years ago. A bit like not wearing a seatbelt nowadays since they became manditory about 20 years ago.
BTW
IS it true that the Cornish flag will be amongst the 40 flags choosen ?

Sal,
I would not plan on collecting all the flags but, will there be a Mexican Flag in the repertoire?
If so, I am definitely getting that one AND the Canadian Flag, since I will become a citizen there as well, and I know I will love my adoptive country.

I'd like to put in a vote for a Czech flag.

Would it not be better to have an inlay with a world flag on it.Something like a white flag with earth in the center surronded by all the nations flags.Dealers would not have to stock or try to order alot of differant ones.

ooooo...a Mexican Flag would be nice!
Hey Kirath,
I am a native of Chihuahua. I used to go to El Paso very often, the usual, shopping and concerts either there or Las Cruces. Got family and friends there still. Welcome to the forum!
Actually, I think J Smith's idea is quite nice as well.

Thanks Kahz.
When I saw you were from Northern Mexico, I kinda figured you were familiar with with our pueblo en la frontera.

As long as there's a Dutch flag on it, I'll take one or two!!
