Alrighty... our power has gone out twice in 2 months here... and the month before it went out 4-5 times due to storms. Usually only out for an hour at most.

Tonight was fun, it's been holding around 10 C (42 F), no storm activity at all, barely any wind... and it went out, About 2km west of me and 1.5km south was without power for 45min tonight (go a block east of me and they had power), still waiting for my TV to connect again.

I've got a cheap 375W 550VA UPS on my ftp box, drawing ~50W on a NAS and 16 port 10/100 switch.

Thinking I might have to nab another couple of the cheap ones for my router and server, if not move the NAS/switch to put the router ( 3x 10/100, 802.11g) on this one as well.

Any suggestions on a good UPS to toss my server tower on? Right now it's on a home theater power bar, and I'll likely plug the UPS in there for just the server, so surge protection isn't an issue... just 1 or 2 plugs and (ideally) 1hr of run time.

I have good experiences with APC ups.
Reliable things, easy to operate.
