I am currently stationed in Afghanistan. I have carried spyderco knives most of my life (i am only 21) and my edc usually consists of either my CF Police or my caly jr. here in afghanistan i carry my harpy in my pocket, i keep my caly in my chest pocket on my flak, my police usually rides inside my flight suit thigh pocket, and i have a benchmade morpho that sits next to my caly. due to a hectic schedule getting ready for this deployment i left my usual duty carries (a swik on my dog tag chain which goes in my chest pocket under my flack and a fred perrin which goes on my weak side) in my truck. all of the knives i have here have been working hard as has my triangle sharpmaker which hits not only mine but everyone elses edges weekly. unfortunatly about a week ago we went to a fire base with laundry facilities so when i washed my flight suit, my cf police went into my day pack. on the way home we were hit with an IED and i was thrown from the truck. Everyone on my team was ok aside from concussions and cuts and bruises. I got a broken nose and my team leader got a minor fracture in his elbow. however our hmmwv was a complete loss. in the fire i lost my police. it has served with me daily for the last three years since it was given to me by rcbalt2 (he posts here a lot i think) when i left for boot camp.
i am happy that my team made it out alright, and i am thankful that spyderco makes good enough knives for me to carry (i replaced all of my issued benchmades with a spyderco)

Jason,
Words can express "thanks" enough, but for now, they'll have to do. Thank you for what you are doing, thank all of you. Thank you for who you are. Stay safe!

Glad your injuries are not severe. Good luck and thanks for doing the job. Your pal was wanting to get you a replacement CF Police. I volunteer my Endura 4 if you cannot get want you want.

DRDOORKICKER--God Bless You and your brethren in arms. I hope you come home safe, sound, and soon!

So sorry about the loss of your CF Police. Was it PE or SE? Are you left-handed, by any chance?
