Just wondering if any of you multitool fans, find the discontinued models in the LM range interesting and the collecting thereof?
models like the PST,Sideclip and Pulse.
very good multitool's IMO and nice having and ofcourse using.
another favorite i managed to pick up,is the discontinued LM Juice KF4 in solar yellow.
very interesting MT indeed, with great selection of tools and perfect for edc.

I just have a multitool since a couple of weeks now.
A black new Wave.
It does come in handy at times.
Still carry a knife as well of course.

Inadvertently all owners at some point into the future, become collectors of vintage material by default.
Leatherman, originl PST; that I had 3 now it's just two - one satin wirebrush finish the other black oxide.
Mini PST; had two, now just one.
PSTII because it had scissors!
Super Leatherman is no more.
And still holding on to my pair of super duper Leatherman 200s.
Original Wave was when I realised that I certainly won't be able to outlive the warranties offered on these magnificent pliertools.
I won't go on about my Gerbers and SOGs!

There are so many realy nice and good quality MT's available nowadays, that are becoming so versatile, lite and easy to carry like your favorite pocketknife.
i feel, that every knifeknut, gadgetfreak, would definetely carry a multitool of some sort, even if its a little Micra or a Spyderench.
its the perfect piece of gear to accompany your edc gear.
even if you dont use a MT every day,it's still good to have one in a purse or kitbag.
it will help you at some point of time, out of a crisis or to fix a breakage etc...

Did I fail to mention that I bought me the Micra because I figured that 'em little sissors were goin' to turn out more useful and lighter to pocket about than a full sized plier?
That, I had it paired up with the mini PST.
Worked for a while until the next new thing came along...
Like I said, we're all probably doomed to collect such gadgets till the pocket wears thin.

Not only do I find the discontinued Leatherman models interesting, they are also the ones I prefer to use.
The PST that I started with was put on brief case duty when the Super Tool came out. The Super Tool was reassigned to standby duty when I got the Super Tool 200, which is my current Leatherman EDC.
I did purchase a "new in the box" Pulse this year. I had considered getting a Blast to have a smaller Leatherman model, but would've preferred its older equivalent, the Pulse. So, I was quite pleased with this find.
I also purchased the Micra and Crunch... both older models still in production today.
In terms of the newer line of Leatherman tools, I do have the Surge and Skeletool, but there's just something about the older line that's cool.

Yeah the older LM tools are good and proper multitools, that can take the punch you throw at them, when something needs a fixing.
