I got my spydercard back today. I sent it to BodyCote to have it boron carbide coated. They received it last thursday and I have it my hands today. 7 days is darn fast. It has been coated with boron carbide. It has a hardness of 93-95. It is charcoal in color. Very nice looking. It also greatly increases corrosion resistance. Very important because it is a ss knife that hangs out deep in a icky pocket for weeks on end. Even better I will be getting my blue lum tomorrow. And I have a green salsa on the way because I had two defective meerkats. (Thanks Mike) I can't wait to get all my new spydies. I also finished grinding my knife. I need to polish it, put an edge on the blade, have it coated by bodycote maybe, and slap a pair of ebony scales on it. Do you think the wonderful people at spyderco would mind putting the final edge on it? Especially if I give Sal the next one I make. ;-)

I would love to post a pic and I will next time I go to my neighbor's house to work on my knife because he has a digital camera. It was $25 including 2nd ups return shiiping. When I get a police I will definitely have it done to it. I didn't inquire how it would work on certain spydies like say a frn endura. They might be able to mask the handle. email them at DarrellGLewis@cs.com they were very pleasant to deal with and will answer whatever questions you might have. I first saw this on blade forums on a small sebenza and it was awesome.
