I agree. I find the full flat grind to be the most useful to me. It's also the most asthestically pleasing to me too. The flat grind is one of the aspects I love about the Lum Chinese Folder.

I'll put my hand up for flat grind also. I love my Chinese Folders, Military, CF Dragonfly, Calypsos and Centofante Jr. In fact I don't think I will ever buy a hollow ground knife again, with the possible exception of the forum Vesuvius.

I started off prefering the hollow grind, but this was based mainly on asthetics. After comparing the cutting power of both I find the flat grind is the hands down winner.

I like the looks of hollow but the peformance of flat.

There are advantages and disadvantages to both, as well as age old disagreements.
Generally speaking, if you are not going to pass all of the way through the material being cut, such as skinning, the hollow grind provides for a thinner area behind the edge, meaning that the material is less binding on the blade.
If you are passing the knife through something. like cardboard, there is argument the the flat grind takes a more gradual increase in width meaning less effort.
some thoughts to share.

I love the flat ground knives. Military, and Calypso come to mind.
