Dudes,
I love the Endura! Its handles elegantly in the field People whom I had encountered loved it very much! Its an excellent lightweight field knife which is very reliable. I've barter-traded a few of this knife with indeginous people who saw it as a modern cutting tool.. Here's some shots of my Enduras! A fitting tribute to this great and popular Spydie!
pix 1 - Hard used and widely travelled -- this Endura had made its way back to Golden when I made my pilgrimage to Spyderland two years ago!

Nice pictures Samo My Endura SE hasn't made it to my EDC carry yet though
Be sure to get the new ones with VG-10 Steel

Samo,
I too love the Endura! My first was a combo blade, I like it cause it matches my Ladybug. I have an early FRN clip S/E and just got a S/S S/E. Great knife, can't say enough about it!
Wow! Nice photos and nice collection, Samo. I've yet to keep an Endura (or a Delica, for that matter) for my own use. I will wait though, since I am sure this model will not be discontinued for a long time.

The Endura was my fav. until the Native.I think that if I found a OD with an FRN clip it would be back on top.

Excellent knife, with an excellent grip and ergonomics second to none. Maybe that's why it's always in my pocket!
Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Ah yes, the Endura. So cool. Kahz, how can you not have this one? Guess with all the high end goodies I've heard you have maybe its just too mundane. Get one!

Samo,
One more thing... I posted this in a thread started a few days ago by Sotyakr,
A knife to look out for because it is very popular is an Endura. I have three, a FRN combo edge ATS-55, an earlier FRN plastic clip S/E AUS-8, and a S/S S/E AUS-6. It is a great knife, good for just about anything! The nice thing about Spyderco is they make a knife for every application, so you have lots to choose from. The bad thing is I want to own them all, in every variation !
Kahz,
Get an Endura-Get an Endura-Get an Endura. *tries to mimic Clays voice*
You git Samo
I had been avoiding thinking about the Endura, because if I did I knew I'd have to get one. Especially now the Lwt version comes in VG-10.
But like Kahz says, I think I've got a bit longer yet
"Walk softly, but carry a big stick."
*worried look on her face*
Oh, no... now I need an Endura... *psychologically confused for life*
Ok, here's the scoop:
1. Chinese Folder (very soon)
2. Endura (just 'cause like Jaxon and Hoosier said, I _need_ one)
3. Either Shabaria, Starmate, Gunting, Salsa, Meerkat, Navigator, Viele, or Military, depending on the available cash and my Canadian move.
It just seems that my needs are growing too much lately. You guys are too convincing and it's becoming dangerous for my budget. Of course, Sal and Company are also to blame for making such great knives.
I have handled the Endura and the Delica before and I do have to say that they are both perfect everyday knives, not too intimidating and functional. They may not look _as_ fancy as others (although being Spydercos, they are fancy nonetheless), but they are so popular for obvious reasons.

Endura and Delica = Spyderco Classics
Every Spydie fan needs at least one of each!
(I'm still a long way behind Samo on my Endura count!)

I have several versions of both the Endura and Delica and to me they are the classics of Spyderco, along with the SS Police.
The Endura is the quintessential all-around, not-too-expensive utility knife. I haven't been carrying mine as much lately as I probably should, but only a matter of time before one of them gets back into the carry rotation...

Ah, the sweetness of the Endura.....
I believe that I feel that old virus kicking in again.
Hmmmm, now where did I put my wallet?
**Looking for wallet**
Ah, I might have to go shopping soon...

Folks! Thanks for the kind words You know it! You can't go wrong with the Endura. My next extensive project, is to seek variants of the older models which were produced with G2 steel. Now, I guess most of us are eagerly awaiting the much more AWESOME Endura in VG-10! To me, the Endura is a partner in my expeditions. It served well as a great diplomatic gift in those transborder and cross cultural journey I had made..

<mutters darkly> The C10 Strain of the Spyder virus has returned... Humanity is doomed... It was believed that later strains of this virus, especially the C44, C66 and C41 strains were more virulent, but the old C10 strain is back!
We must run for cover!

I have a plain-edge Endura lightweight - what a great knife! Great for camping, hiking, defense/peace of mind, simple utility, etc. I’m kind of a traditionalist at heart, so for me the benchmark of quality, affordability (which is important to me), and ruggedness, has always been the venerable Buck 110. That knife is a rock and certainly has been carried for work/hunting/hiking/combat, etc. as much or more than any folder. In other words, I like it. HOWEVER, once you hold an Endura, there’s no looking back. The Endura weighs a scant 2.9 oz., the 110 weighs a whopping 8. The Endura's blade is 3 and 15/16", while the 110's is 3 and 12/16". I can carry the Endura down in my pocket, in a sheath or, naturally, clipped anywhere I can think of (jeans pocket, shirt pocket, waist band, on my pack-strap, on my truck's sunshade, on my boot, etc.). With the 110, I can lug it around in a belt sheath or in my pocket, but I’d better cinch up the old belt extra tight, 'cause those are 8 heavy ounces of knife. The Endura comes in VG-10 steel (mine is an ATS-55 model), while to get top-of-the-line steel on a 110, you have to go the more-expensive Pete's Custom Shop route. And the Endura passes one of my most-important tests for a camping/hiking blade: Can it spread peanut butter easily?
For years, the Buck 110 was "the" large folder for regular guys who used their knives (i.e. not the Sebenzanista types that scoff at the tried and true and won't carry anything unless it's the latest and greatest). Well, for my money, the Endura now fills the role that the 110 once filled. I'd trust mine in any situation.
