Hey friends,

Just wanted to give you guys (and girls) a quick update on me. Nothing is wrong, and I've been ok. I've just been getting outside more, doing some hiking, and using ALL of my knives.

In fact I even made a custom knife case out of pine for my knives. I then lined the bottom of the case with a sweet looking corded fabric that's sorta a brown color (think pants with cords).

So basically I've had a bit of a tough time lately, with my anxiety (which I take medication for) and other stuff. I've had some close members of my family die just in the last couple weeks. I've had some stress at work. And a few other things that I would rather just keep to myself. Rather than take it out on the forum or be rude or mean or whatever I decided to just stay away for a little while. For those that remember my past, I've learned a lot from it. So that's why I've been gone for a week+ give or take.

Everybody deals with problems in their own way, and I'm still getting "training" on certain problems....if you will.

I don't have any problems with my health (thankfully). I started off about a year ago or so weighing about 314 lbs. Now I'm 275 lbs. I do cardio and weight lifting every day or every other day depending, and I'm working at it like crazy and I'm gonna get myself down to about 220 lbs. I'm a big guy anyway so I don't wanna get down below 200 lbs (6'1" tall, size 13 shoes, can palm a basket ball etc...) I've had a few people ask me via PM or email what's up and I just wanted to make things clear.

I have no problems telling you guys (my friends) what's going on and I thank you for your concern.

Prayer always works and The Lord has never let me down. Not once.

So I'm still gonna be around I just needed one of my "breaks". They actually do wonders for me.

So, God bless you folks. Don't forget, to spend more time with your family as you never know when you will get that phone call that someone you love just died.

Thanks for the update. I've wondered how you were doing. Sounds like you have good problem solving skills and will keep on going when life throws hits at you.

I've always been able to get back on my feet too. It's a good gift to posess as life can sure throw some hard punches once in a while. Good luck! Joe

Glad to hear you're well, David.
I certainly understand about the anxiety issues, as I've fought anxiety/depression for a number of years. Also glad to see you're getting "training" in that area, it truly does help.

Keep that faith strong, it'll carry you through!
And condolences for your lost family members.

Hi David,

I'll send some prayers your way. Sounds like you have developed a lot of good skills for knowing when you need to take some time out and take care of yourself. Bravo. Take care. :)
