Yah, so it turns out that all those cheap ladybug II's are gone, yet just a couple days ago I was told that there were 50 of them. Also, the site says that Calypso Jr.s are in stock, and those aren't either. So, while I was on the phone, I'd figured I'd ask how much my return was going to be. $60.04 was the figure... which was the price of the knife. Yah, the price of the knife. They couldn't have been bothered to type a few keys to add in my $5 that they owe me for the 3 week shipping it took to get to me origionally, or my return shipping cost, (the amount clearly stated on the recipt I included in the box), or TAXES! Not refunding me for shipping is bad enough... but I now just realized that they're not even planning to refund me taxes! But I'm sure they'll give there best effort to get that over to the government ASAP. (oh, and don't you worry... she said she'll "look into it" for me.)
Needless to say, I cancelled what was left on my order (a screwz-all keychain, and a co-pilot), and I'm planning to not go back there for my sharpmaker or leatherman. Hmph!
So then here come you guys (and gals) that make me want to buy a mouse instead! AG! I figured this little incident could help slow me down with the spydies... but NOOOOOO now I have to out and stend over a hundred bucks! Sorry to hear about your problems. I've never used their site, but the prospects don't look too good.
Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Sorry to hear that man
May I suggest using knifesales on Ebay for a lot of stuff?
He has good prices on Spyderco knives

**cries** Yah... it's been hard... but a few spydies sure would help ease the paint **wink wink**
hehe, nah, I don't care... the most I could be out is $10... but it would be worth it to save a few of you guys, and to get a chance to try out a calypso jr.
Hmmmmm... I think I'll go check out ebay some more... thanks KK

minimarc,
ShopLite.com still shows FRN and SS Calypsos both PE and SE. You might want to check it out.

I don't buy off the internet, for reasons like this, Specialty Sport and Supply in the Springs always has the stuff that I want, and will almost always get the new stuff right away. It is arguably the best shop of its kind anywhere near me, and they carry all kinds of Spyderco stuff

Prior to getting into knives I only did Internet shopping at LL Bean, REI and EMS. Never had a problem. Since buying knives I've bought from 8 different companies (all recommended by others in previous postings) with nothing but the best of sucess. I even risked a purchase that went okay on e-bay (that was probably just good luck). It seems to me that true knife companies are good in person, on the telephone, thru the mail, or over the internet. Poor companies can stiff ya by any mode you choose to do business with them. You gotta shop for value, not just price.
