Welcome aboard the Forums Bronson! That must be the Spydewrench you saw on the magazine! IMHO ~ Its worth every dime and penny having it! As a biker, I pack it everyday. The blade on the wrench is shaving sharp! Love how the wrench works as well!

Hi Bronson, welcome to the forum.
The Spyderwrench is more heavy duty than most other multi tools. The other good feature is that the hex bits are standard size, so you can carry the bits you need and swap them out for others if your needs change.

I have a SpydeRench, but I don't find it all that useful to me, unfortunately. I love how it carries all the bits within itself, so it doesn't need an extra thingy to carry, like the Leathermans and their tool adapters, or like the Gerbers and their tool adapters. But I don't find either the pliers or the wrench to be all that useful in the computer field. I find I need a needle-nose pliers much more often, and the pliers on the the SR just doesn't cut it.
I've carried a Leatherman Wave for many years, and now I'm trying out a Gerber Legend 800.
I so very wanted to like and find the SpydeRench useful, but alas, that was not the case. Oh well...

Welcome aboard Bronson.Frankly nomaded I'd consider your comments a pretty strong endorsement of the Spyderwrench:you compare it honestly to similar products while stating it's not the best tool for your specific job.I salute your fairness.
