Don't know for sure, but, I thing that this has already been asked.
Suggest a search. Kinda hard to visualize a balisong with a hole in the blade!!
Oh, yes .......welcome to the fourms.

Hi John,
Welcome to the Spyderco Forum.
I think that the two concept knives are still in development. I don't know whether they have reached the "prototype" stage yet.

I think Spyderco should stay away from Balison style knives.

I would like to see a Spyderco Balisong. I am sure they would do a top notch job.
Spyderco does have a lot of irons in the fire though.

Balisong knifes in general are not taken well with LEO and the private sector. Benchmade pretty much has the corner on Balisong anyway. I's rather see Spyderco develop some neat new or improved folder.

I'd rather see the Perrin neckknife before putting energy into a knife that is illegal in California.

Dear Gun and Tackle ;
Your question was
raised in the forum about a year ago.
If I recall correctly Sal himself
dismissed the idea, although that may
change with the introduction of Cold
Steel's bali offering ( the name of which eludes me at this moment ). It even has a pocket clip ! Retails around
$190.00. Check out www.onestopknifeshop.com
and feast your eyes. I'm certain Sal
already has caught wind of this.

Hi ATE.
I wouldn't dismiss it that quickly.
Sal was over on the Balisong section of the Blades Forum about six months ago and several times since, mainly asking for preferences in balisong style. A couple of the more respected balisong members have said they have seen concept versions.
