I'll bet 98% of the lanyard holes on Spyderco knives are dis-funtional/underutilized. If there was an accessory leash(lanyard) available, I'll guess they would be used more often.

I like to bring out the old rope machine and making a cord permanently fixed to the knife. It looks classy, and is extremely simple to make, provided you have the needed materials. The materials to make a rope machine are inexpensive, and the thread is common 1/16" nylon.
