My friend, who is a teacher, recently sent me the link to this video about school systems worldwide killing creativity in their students. It's from the annual TED conference in California. Quite fascinating and Sir Ken is a hilariously entertaining speaker too. :) Enjoy:

Thank you ever so much for posting this link and yes he is a superb and entertaining Speaker, but more importantly his message resonates with me very strongly for a number of personal reasons.

They should make this speach compulsory for Parents to view and try and understand, then make all Education Government Ministers in any country listen and try & understand.

Again thanks ever so much...........brilliant, absolutely brilliant! ;):)

Regards,

BRIAN

Great vid. I agree with it entirely.

Although we may have a "great" education system, I must say that with a 5 year old daughter that she is super creative and doesn't care about being wrong. We should all be like that.

This was a great TED talk.

The important thing to realize is that children are naturally creative. It is society that conditions us to stifle our creativity. As we get older we often become more and more self aware of judgment from others, which keeps our creative ideas to ourselves and over time kills them off.
