I recently purchased a cricket with a FRN handle, but the handle seems to be a little flimsy. Is this normal? The quality of the blade and handle fit does not seem up to par with my other sypides.

You can take supreme comfort from this: "Spyderco warrants that all of our products are free from defects in material and workmanship."
If Spyderco made it, I wouldn't worry about it.
BB- The Cricket is my favorite mini-spydie. I have 9 of them.

Maybe I bought a lemon, but I would sure love to see a G-10 version of this knife. It is very handy and cuts like a dream for its size.

Is there just a bit too much blade play? If so, You can remove the clip, and tighten up the pivot point a bit, use some Loctite and it'll stay nice and tight!
My FRN Cricket is one of my favorite knives, and is my nearly CONSTANT companion. (I own about 45 Spydies, BTW...)

A G-10 Cricket would be VERY cool!! How about a partially serrated one? That would be a funky looking little knife! Maybe with blue G10 scales.........

Thanks lotsablades, your tip did the trick. I never knew there was an adjustable screw behind the clip. Now it seems strong enough for my use.
Now I love my cricket even more.
Rookie though I am, and I know this has been suggested before, it's plain to see the answer is almite (Sal, please reissue. Please! Please! Please! (Ohmigod, I've been reduced to begging)) or a new SS version!! I will buy 4 just for custom work. I am pleased with my FRN Cricket and have had no problems but, I need an almite Cricket fix - BAD!
Good pointer, lotsablade, and good luck!
