What are your views of this knife? I understand they are now being discontinued. I have a chance to get one for $104 plus tax.

I have the Starmate and Terzuola's Star Fighter. The Starmate is an excellent knife and stays true to the Star Fighter wihich it was crafted after. rr

I had one for alittle while. I liked it, but it was a combo edge. If it had been plain edge I would have kept it. It is a well made knife with good heft. It was lighter than I thought it would be, but it balanced well in my hand. I'm going to try and get a plain edge one sometime or another. Terzuola knows how to make a knife.

I have both PE and SE. This knife, likeBlades says, is a keeper. It is an awesome MBC choice, and it has piercing power galore; 440V steel too!

Beach Bum,

Welcome to the Forum.

I love my Starmate. It is a regular in my knife rotation - that is I regularly carry the knife when its turn comes up. When it is not being carried, it is displayed on my fireplace mantle.

It's the prettiest of all my Spydies.

I generally carry my Military more, but that is a weight issue (the Millie is lighter).

You will not regret getting the Starmate!

One way or the other, you pay for your tools!

I had a Starmate for a while and while it had excellent lock up and came razor sharp I just didn't like the feel of it. Something about the handle just didn't feel right to me.
