View Full Version : My EDC wood bin (pics)

This is a wooden "bin" made of pine that I made to put my EDC rotation knives in. What's kind of crazy is that after I made it I thought, "hmm....I could have just bought some sort of knife sack or knife rollup pack or something".

Well at least I had fun and it actually stores knives....or whatever else I wanna put in there.

I found some dark mustard colored corduroy material that I used for the inside. I used 240 grit and then put clear polyurethane on it. After that I let it dry and then I sanded it again, and then put another coat on. I did this 4 times. It's been complete for about a month or so now. I just thought to take a picture of it tonight.

I took it down in the basement where I have a lamp and a 150 watt bulb to take knife pics. I don't leave the lamp on for more than about 5 minutes at a time since it's rated for a max of 100w.

Enjoy.... :)

Nice Spydiebox. Just out of curiosity, what knot is that on the end of your SAK's lanyard?

Thanks man. :)

I'm not sure what the knot is called, but here is a link on how to tie it.

That's where I learned it from. It's probably my favorite knot as I like how it looks uniform and it yet still nice and simple and classy. I usually have another one just like that but smaller tied onto my yellow Salt made out of black Para-cord.

I like the box David. Nice work. It's what I'd call elegantly simple. :)
