WRONG!
This release is from 2007.

"FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
P07-21
February 14, 2007"

The current peanut butter "scare" is about commercial quantity peanut butter, not consumer quantity peanut butter. This has nothing to do with any of the consumer peanut butter brands.
Sorry, I get defensive. Peter Pan is just the best.:p I went through withdrawals "back in '07 ".:p

Well the salmonella has indeed hit here in Missouri,USA. A friend of mine and myself went to a popular Mexican restaurant just 3 days ago and both of us got sick from it :(. 2 days ago I got many symtoms and they all were that of salmonella poisoning.

Many of the restuarants here locally use peanut oil to cook with and they have been pulling many of the peanut items off the shelves here in the past 4 days. They literally took most everything out of our vending machines at work that had any peanut products in them. Some of the Chinese restaurants and other food places that use certain types of oils have been reported to have used tainted foods in preparation.

Here in the Kansas City area we have had many people end up in emergency rooms and it was rumored yesterday that a couple of elderly people have been reported dead .

Tainted food is showing up in our area much to often in the past 2 years. Especially in the meat & fish sectors. This country has really been dropping the ball when it comes to food handling and food processing. The FDA had better get it's act together. I don't know if an older person could have survived what my friend endured.

The fatalities are usually people with compromised immune systems and elderly people fall into this catagory. This problem with food contamination is becoming more frequent, the department of agriculture has been real slack in doing food inspections, and alot of things are slipping through the cracks.I would not be surprised if this isnt biological warfare tactics used by the terrorists.
