Here's my most recent drawing. A buddy in Germany asked me if I'd draw a pic of his dog, who passed away last year.
I said I'd give it a try, so he sent me a pic of it, and I printed it out on my horrible printer. The print was pretty horrible, but I decided to work with it anyway, and waded in swinging.
I tackled the eyes first, since I couldn't make out much detail from the pic, and figured they'd be the most difficult portion of the drawing (I was right). Surprisingly, they turned out very well and didn't take that long.
Overall, I think it turned out well. It's an 8x10, done with pencil (mostly #2 pencil).
Of late, I've done several pet portraits for folks, and they seem to turn out pretty well.
