- BenHere are a couple for starters, Ben. First a shot of a Mini-Mariner...

For those who don't know, although the Mini-Mariner is built to look like a front lock, it's really a slipjoint. It was also made in all stainless, but that version has eluded me so far.
And a bit closer shot of the Cocobolo Spyderkey/Hummingbird along with a a few other flavors...

They are, left to right: Corian, Sambar Stag, Red Bone, Abalone, Black Pearl, Cocobolo, and Black Quince. There are a couple others I don't yet have, a (white) Mother of Pearl and an all stainless. There were also some made in several of the handle materials (abalone, stag, all stainless) with tie-clip backs.

Thanks for the pictures, they are wonderful! That has to be one of the best Hummingbird collections I've seen.
Interesting that you have never found a full stainless Mini-Mariner, I was going to say the same about the version you have. :D Is that an abalone inlay?
In my experience these are two of the hardest classes of Spydercos to find, well done.

there is 1 on ebay nowNot anymore. ;)
Latest addition, a MOP Spyderkey, and plain edged to boot. I generally avoid the word "rare", as it's been abused to death by eBay sellers, but PE Spyderkeys, regardless of flavor, show up so infrequently as to deserve it.

I think it is a used blade ... Polished and re-sharpened !! !! !!
All Spyderkeys have a Serrated edge ...

All Spyderkeys have a Serrated edge ...Bob, you are entitled to think anything you wish. However, in this case I am very confident that you are wrong. If you ever took a good look at a serrated, or combo edge Spyderkey, you'd understand why your theory could not be correct. Removing the serrations would, at the very least, require the removal of enough metal to be extremely noticeable at the point where the sharpened edge meets the tang.
Speaking of Hummingbirds, where can you find these??? They're rarely on ebay. I'm a spyderco keychain knife collector, these are my holy grail! Have been looking for a stainless steel one forever!!!
Oh yeah, and awesome collection too Deacon!

Have been looking for a stainless steel one forever!!!Me too, it's the only one I'm missing now. But to answer your question, aside from a couple that a fellow forumite was gracious enough to sell me, I purchased them on eBay. As you say, they don't show up often, but I've been hunting them for almost six years.
