Thank You all! Yes :D, I waiting for Spring to make some nice pictures in nature of my :spyder: collection. I hope, that to spring I will have more Spydies like black Yojimbo or Massad PE ;). Im looking for White Micarta sheet thickness 4 mm, but 13 cm long. I found only 12 cm :mad:. Do you know when I can buy it?
I like white Micarta for handles - Phoenix is very nice! I have also custom D'allara PE dark green G-10 handle. I make some photos for you next week.

Exactly! Spyderco is very expensive in CZ. Sometimes I buy some Spyderco in Czech, but only rare knives, because nobody buy it for many years :D. Last time i bought Renegade. It was in shop 9 years! Usually buy from the U.S.

It's the same like original. Maybe Endura is little bid thicker :rolleyes:.

SS was remade :mad:. Hand made :D. I don't have any special machines.
It was normal black Endura. Endura and Delica are probably my snack favorites knives :). I have to say, that Woody Endura is harder now, but very well to hold in hand!

I think MyKnife wanted to say, that the liners were made completely new by hand and it was a regular FRN /black, VG10/ Endura before, right? ;) :)

I agree. I like the D'Allara too. Beautiful knife but something about the wood on that Endura. Wow!

Thanks for your opinion. Wood handles are very comfortable and nice in hand.
Endura handle is from Cocobolo/Palisander, but you can use a lot of rare woods: http://www.knifekits.com/vcom/index.php?cPath=40_217_316.
Work with G-10, CF or Micarta is much harder in home workshop :(.

"Military" D'allara handle is from "Sklotextit" it's high pressure laminate (Czech made) something like G-10 or Micarta. It's only two colors available: green or brown. At this time is without original clip. I have idea to make leather case for it. Thanks for interest :).

Thanks for sharing those links. I may have to pick up a couple of slabs and give it a try for myself. I don't have any experience but I have dabbled in my Grandfathers wood shop through the years so the tools are available to me.

Also thanks for the link to friends site, I may have to look through what he has and buy something there or see if I could pay him to make one for me if I fail at trying to do it myself

Make a custom handle on the Spyderco knife is my idea many years ago. My friend Zdenek Stor makes his original knives and leather cases. Hi doesn't interested about handle only :-D. You can buy from him some knife. I can recommend Bali Song from him (sorry for of topic!)! Custom handle for Spyderco is my "job". If you want to order woody Endura or Delica, let me know. I can do D'allara too, but not from wood. Handle is too thin. Very nice is woody Tenacious! But I thing, that I can do any other model you want. Thanks for interest :)

Yes it's Hloherko ;). I convinced him that the hole is the best opening system. I hope, that he will continue! I think that Spyderco has patented round hole, but Hloh did irregular hole. Legally it is fine :D.

I had an idea, that you could start selling the 'vertical play' for those whos knives dont have that. I dont know where the problem is, I tried my ZDP E4 in the evening, just for curiosity, and I think its pretty fine, I almost cut myself when tried to push the blade back to see the 'blade play'.. :rolleyes: I keep on following the 'najf cezet' discussion and I have to admit you take it from a nice perspective, beyond the topic :D

Yes, it's small and little bit uncomfortable :(, but ... it's very nice knife. Especially like nature G-10 and titanium frame lock! I don't know if I keep it in my collection, because new prototypes are awesome :D. Mainly Dialex's Junior!

So I decided to do a little knife work. I recently bought Dremel, drill holder as advised me to my friend (knife maker), and some kind of tools and sandpaper, plus a lotion. Given that I am at home every now and then something had to make. So I started tuning into the small of my new Bushcraft (factory second). Came up with a cracked handle and blade with sharp edges, I did not like to much. So I decided to fix the handle and little narrow, because it was too plump for my hand and round off the top of the blade to cut disappeared, which Spyderco indicates factory second. First, I plunged the blade. I grind edges and polished. Then I sand handle rougher emery, close the cracks with epoxy and then grind with steel wool 00 and 000th. This came out more inequality, and again came into play emery etc. until feel dizzy :D. Then I apply the shellac on handle and let it congeal. Then I ripped the top layer by 000 and ran a linseed oil and then polished on buffing wheel. So, I have trapper knife!

It's best way to try something on knife. You don't need special tools to do it. Just Epoxy, shellack, some oil for wood, sandpaper and steel wool. It's easy.
You will see :).

Thanks for compliment! Yes it's oil. The teak oil penetrates into the wood and doesn't give any film-building like a lacquer. When I cook scales in this oil it can go more in to the wood.
