Odds are someone one here can figure this one out for me...

Waiting on a package from ThinkGeek, have been following it on DHL's page as it went from jersey to ohio, to seattle and now calgary. Obviously I'm not in calgary, but according to the page it's now reading as:

2/20/2009 2:34 pm Available on payment by recipient. Calgary, Canada

Ordered the 18th, it shipped late on the 19th, and I'm guessing it wouldn't have shipped without the charge going through my card (it'll be on my online statement monday as it's not on today).

Has anyone seen that status before? Only thing I can think of is it's waiting for a duty or brokerage payment, but no idea as to why it'd be sitting in calgary still.

I would call them and make sure the address they are showing is proper. 9 times out of 10 when I have a shipping problem its due to someone getting the address wrong. In all cases, because their name is on the label, when the receiver calls they are able to override any addressing mistakes and get the package on their way much sooner than the shipper can. This is my experience with UPS, perhaps DHL is different but a call to the carrier wouldn't hurt either way.

The "to" box on the DHL page says saskatoon.
Already double checked my info on thinkgeek and my bill (printed a copy right away), and thats all right.

If it's not here monday or tuesday, given the fact that it's at least at calgary, I'll be calling to figure it out.

I'm waiting on another package from california that was sent last week tuesday and if it beats the dhl one we know something is wrong.

Emailed thinkgeek to see if there had been an issue on thier end, they figure it's the duty and customs fees that the package is waiting for... 8hrs from here (got a reply at 10am).

Emailed DHL to see if there's a way to pay that fee without being home when they come around (the fun of working 0700-1800+ monday-friday), and it's now sent to the guy dealing with my package. It was still in calgary at 10am when I sent the email so I know they haven't even attempted a delivery.

Next time I go with UPS, at least they attempt once and drop it at the post office (or I have to swing by the UPS office 5min from work).

Woo... don't know if it was my email or forwarding that info as well to the guy I was dealing with at thinkgeek... but my package is about 2km from work right now. Got the call, have to pay $18 when I swing by after this job today.
