Here is a list of my latest aquisitions,

blue Delica FRN clip G-2

yellow FRN LadyBug PS/E

C05 Standard L/H P/E no blade steel type on knife-cool knife-clip is part of scale (stamped one piece) no screws on clip!

C02 Mariner S/E G-2 S/S (maybe 1982)

C03 Hunter P/E S/S G-2 (maybe 1983)

They have C18 Wayne Goddard w/Micarta in P/E and S/E G-2. I'm guessing 1992. I will be getting one or both of these soon! They also have Jess Horn Lwt. I think in G-2 also.

Does anyone know what the blade steel on the Standard is? Was there a blade steel other than G-2 used on early Spydies? Any info about these knives regarding number produced (rarity) is greatly appreciated.

I've got a G-10 Standard and it's ATS-55.
I've never heard of a Spydie that didn't have the steel type on it. What's the handle/clip material ?

Yog,

This is an early S/S Standard, the clip and scale are all the same piece of metal.

BTW the "Q" is made of 440C but they don't put it on the blade, can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Actually I have at least seven Spydies without their steel type marked on them. 5 Q's and a sterile C50 Centofante with no markings on the blade at all and a 2screw Worker with no steel type designated.

Disguised as a responsible adult.

The "original" Standard had the stamped clip. IIRC, the steel is/was AUS-6.

The Spyderkeys/Hummingbirds do not have the steel id stamped on them either.

My newest, coolest little Spydie, a maroon micarta Jester, does not list the steel type on the blade. (Not much room, anyway.)

I think it's aus-6.
