So I'm surfing the net last Sunday and decide to check out current prices on ebay. Sort by time ending soonest and there's a Superhawk ending in three hours. $149, no bids, free shipping. What? Well, heck I'll play. So I put in a bid for $150. Lo and behold, three hours later, I won the bid! Then it hit me. Too good to be true, right? The seller is all positive but low feedback. Fast forward to Friday and there's a box in my mailbox. Inside is a brand new, in-the-box Superhawk!
So I was never a hawkbill fan per se, but never had a reason to buy one. As far as knives go, for this being my fist example, I guess this one will have to do:D. Consider me a convert. Looks like I will now have to either carry two knives or agonize each day over what to carry, my S90V Millie or the Superhawk. I know I will now be buying a Tasman (or two, a black PE and a yellow SE). Anyway, The Superhawk is also my first compression lock. It's growing on me as well. Overall, the Superhawk is just that...Super! Fit, finish, design and visual impact are off the charts. As wide as it is closed, it carries well clipped in my right front.
Anyway, I just had to share a "too good to be true" ebay experience. Sometimes they really do happen.:o
