Looks like it's designed to fill the Civvie's niche, but will also stab, unlike the civvie. Big knife... Illegal in TX (too long a blade). That makes the Civvie the better knife in my book.

Hail to the civv!it is very intimidating
but it has a serious drawback:
It's price!(mine is dismantled for the moment,because i want to make Ti or SS handles!<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> )

Try this on Liko:
CUDA MAXX coming out next month. Darrel Ralph design, titanium, D2 AND a 5.5 inch blade!

I remember reading in someones post that the TX limit is 5.5 so this might work for you.

Just not my style. I like aggressive-looking knives (like my CE Native), but that's just too big. I can't even argue for it as an EDC utility knife. Anything I carry has to have the excuse of an oversized pocketknife. That's almost a folding bowie. Certainly more weapon than tool in an EDC setting.

im a big cold steel fan. vaquero grande is an excellent knife. every bit as intimidating as a civilian. plus their very light and very fast. i have the 5 inch vaquero and you can take my word for it...even tho its an inch shorter then the grande its still a big vicious chunk of knife. it'll slash through just about anything within reason. my only major complaint is that CS serrations are hard as hell to sharpen. fortunatly it aint easy to dull one. you really gotta abuse them pretty hard. voyagers are the real work horse in their line. iv carried a voyager tanto for the last 3 years and while its never been abused, its been put to heavy use and its held its edge admirably. its never met a sharpener cause its never needed to. i would LOVE to see a collaboration between cold steel and spyderco...the results would be interesting to say the least.

Liko,

It is only illegal if you are carrying it on the street. You can have it in a collection.
