Having a browse through The Edge's website as I sometimes do, I notice a variation of the JumpMaster on offer there...........PLAIN EDGE! ;)

Interesting looking knife, I may well have to get one to match my Serrated............:D

Sal has mentioned before that the Japanese prefer the PE to the SE and thus, a very few knives are made for sale in the Japanese homemarket with PE even if they are only offered in SE in the rest of the world.

I would have really enjoyed visiting Seki-City and have a look through the knife museum and maybe even have a look in the Sakai factory!

Couldn't agree more about the visit Henning, it remains on my wish-list..........considering how much business I've done with Japanese companies (and still do!) and how many friends I have who live there, I really should try and get there in the next year or so.

Mind you the same could be said of Norway! ;)

I haven't been back for well over 18 years now, sad to say.........:rolleyes:

Japan is a prime source for my Spydie PE's altho strangely enough usually by barter or sale from fellow Collectors, I've got ONE out of perhaps a dozen that I have bought myself direct.

I would love one in plain edge. I know its designed for other reason. But plain edge would be awesome.
