What is that Golden coating

Does anyone know what kind of coating looks golden, but is not gold? Some have said that a Ti coating looks this way, but I've only seen balck Ti.

I believe it is a titanium-nitrogen surface hardening/coating. I don't know what they add to get the gold colour.

Titanium Nitride. SOG uses it on some of their knives/tools. It is also used on the screws and clip of the Camillus Talonite EDC.
