Believe it or not, with all the interest in the Rescue knives lately, it will be either the Rescue or the Rescue jr. in orange, but my question the my fellow knifeaholics is, which do you think is the better choice?

Rescue SR, or Rescue JR?

The full-size Rescue is being redesigned, almost certainly with a new blade steel. If you have to have a Rescue right now, I'd get the Jr, which has VG-10 blade steel, but I'd hold out for the new model full-size. Dunno when it will be out,though.

I just picked up a rescue Jr. in orange and VG-10. I was surprised at the blade length, I expected something smaller. I'd choose the JR. unless you need a larger blade.
Blade length: Jr. 79mm 3 1/8" Rescue 92mm 3 5/8"
