I don't know how much 122 whatever is but that knife is high on my list of item to obtian..

A SPYDERCO knife is the most expensive and least effective screwdriver you will ever buy. However, we do have the blade strecher if we can get the solar power thingie to work ;)

Wow. Excellent choice! A Police like that is rare, if not one of a kind. Guard that like one of your children!

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

this is beggining to get irritating, it could quite easily be tufram for all i know, or indeed titanium. i can't find one like it anywhere on the net, someone must know what it is... sal? theres nothing else i can think to add to the description, G-2 blade, no engraved "police", handle of an unknown metal with visible rivets on it
MAT (ps for those of you who have never heard of british pounds £112 is $160)

Ruxton,
It cant be a titanium since they all had the ATS-34 steel.
It sounds like one of the aluminum versions and I know that some did not say "POLICE" on the blade.
The raised rivets also point to the aluminum version however some alum. versions had flush rivets.
the aluminums came in tufram and uncoated versions. The tufram should be glass smooth like the newer almite spydies and the uncoated should have a brushed look.

hope this helps

recoil,
its sorta dull, not brushed up the handle like a SS where there are visible brush lines running from bottom to top of handle, it doesn't feel like glass or anything like that its not smooth, really hard to explain. thanks recoil and yog

ruxton,

I have scanned a large image of both styles of Aluminum Police models and will email them to you.

Hope it clears things up.

thanks alot recoil, very useful, my computers bust so i only got them this morning, it appears to be a turfam coated aluminium police, yet it has a G-2 blade and no police engraving. oh and what was the engraving at the bottom of the handle on those pics you sent me? i couldn't make it out.

ruxton,
Glad the pictures helped.

That is my name engraved into the knife.
Sal Glesser gave me the engraved Tufram police back in 1994.
